It‘s only two more months until the 67th festival edition opens. To mark the occasion, we‘re presenting this year's festival motive now already!

Once again, our poster design was designed by graphic designer and illustrator Stefan Ibrahim. It shows two weights in the classic DOK red, which are in relation to each other.

“As always, our festival motif is intended to encourage people to question relationships - because there are often different perspectives on one and the same aspect,” explains festival director Christoph Terhechte. “At film festivals, we have the opportunity to get to know many points of view and discuss them. We don't have to fight for authority of interpretation and universality, but rather look at aspects in relation to each other, weigh them up, possibly balance them out and redefine the space that surrounds us all. Our motif this year resonates with this conviction.” 

What happens next

DOK Leipzig 2024 takes place from 28 October to 3 November. In the coming weeks, we‘ll present more and more insights into this year's programme on all our festival channels until the complete festival programme will be online on 10 October.

During the festival week, we welcome you to the 67th edition of DOK Leipzig at numerous venues in Leipzig. We look forward to celebrating documentary and animated film with you – complete with cinematic discoveries, exciting encounters and thrilling audience moments.
