It’s awards time for the first winners at the 67th edition of DOK Leipzig! The nine awards of our festival’s partners have been presented on 2 November 2024 at Schaubühne Lindenfels in Leipzig’s westend. The winners of the Golden and Silver Doves were announced at a second event that evening, and the Film Prize Leipziger Ring was presented on Sunday, 3 November.

These films have been awarded:

ver.di-Prize for Solidarity, Humanity and Fairness (2,000 €):

Gedanken Aufschluss prize, awarded by a jury of prisoners of the Juvenile Detention Centre Regis-Breitingen:

DEFA Sponsoring Prize (4,000 €):

MDR Film Prize (3,000 €):
 “The Other One” by Marie-Magdalena Kochová (Czech Republic, Slovakia)

Prize of the Interreligious Jury (2,000 €):
 “Twice into Oblivion” by Pierre Michel Jean (France, Haiti, Dominican Republic)

Prize of the International Film Critics (FIPRESCI Prize): 
 “Valentina and the MUOSters” by Francesca Scalisi (Switzerland, Italy)

mephisto 97.6 Award:
 “Simply Divine” Mélody Boulissière and  Bogdan Stamatin (France, Romania)

Young Eyes Film Award:
 “Sisterqueens” by Clara Stella Hüneke (Germany)

Filmpreis Leipziger Ring:
