About Kids DOK

During the festival week, we will be presenting a selection of films tailored to our youngest visitors. From intriguing short films, such as a sandman‘s journey to a dream sand mill, to a feature-length documentary about a clique of girl rappers—kids and teens of all ages will be able to discover a film to their taste and interest.

With Kids DOK and Young Eyes, we present German and international film productions whose narratives and artistic language take children and young people seriously. In age-appropriate curated programmes, the two branches of the festival come together to win a young audience over to the wealth and variety of cinema: to the witty ingeniousness of animation and the boundless, all-encompassing curiosity of the documentary.
