28 October – 3 November 2024
Single ticket: 5 €
Tickets for the DOK Stream will be available from mid-October onwards. You can pay tickets using credit card or Paypal.
Validity: Online films are available for 24 hours on a daily rotation from 29/10–3/11/2024 only.
We kindly invite you to create a myDOK account with our website. This way you can mark favourite shows and have access to your purchased tickets at all times.
Of course you can buy tickets anonymously “as a guest“ as well, the tickets will be sent to you via email in any case.
You need a pdf-reader to view (and print) your purchased tickets.
If there are no tickets available to purchase for any screening this means that the show is either free anyhow or there are no more tickets available – the show is sold out. You can try showing up on the venue, there might be some leftover tickets available as part of the “Last Minute Sale”.
The question mark icon on any show might give you additional information as well.
You are able to receive 5 tickets per show per purchase, we want to keep it fair for everyone.
Your purchased ticket is viable either printed or digital (online tickets). Please present it at the entry to the cinema hall. If you have a reduced ticket, please provide verification as well.
Season tickets must be presented as well, if you received your ticket with one.
We offer you to purchase a season ticket (regular: 75.00 € | reduced: 45.00 €) to watch the complete festival programme in our cinemas. We are selling the season ticket online as well as at the box office.
Did you buy your season ticket offline at the box office? You can link it here to your myDOK account and hence use it to buy tickets online as well.
With the season ticket you need to then order additional free single tickets at the box office or online for your shows, because we cannot know in advance, which screenings you want to actually see in the end.
These free tickets you need to then present at the cinema hall – alongside your season ticket and possible proof of discount.
There are no reservations available this year.
We’d like to reintroduce the festival spirit in Leipzig, so there will be no allocated seats beforehand. You can choose your own seats, but please follow the instructions of our staff.

Discounts, season tickets and accreditations will of course be considered.
Our goal is to get as many people as possible into the cinema hall, but please forgive us if you cannot enter after all. We try our best to make it possible! First come, first served.
With an accreditation you generally have free access to our shows, but you need to reserve single tickets in advance for your desired screenings. You can do that during the festival week at our box offices and also starting now in our online ticket shop. Please check our Guest Kit to see which rules apply.
How to get accredited tickets?
Your accreditation grants you free entry to all films. However, you still need to book tickets either online or at our ticket offices. Reservations are not possible.
Online booking
- Log into your myDOK account and select a film in the programme overview.
- Click on the desired screening time and then go to your cart.
- Select the discount “accreditation” and click on “update cart”. The ticket price is now reduced to 0€.
- Proceed to checkout. Your ticket is now booked and available in myTickets. Additionally you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.
Note on free ticket quota
You can book up to 5 tickets at a time. Only after you attend a screening and your ticket is scanned upon entry a booking slot will become available again.
You can cancel tickets up to 15 minutes before the screening. If you do not attend a screening and do not cancel your ticket in time one booking slot will be permanently blocked.
You can access your bookings in myTickets.
Entry
Your tickets are saved on your accreditation badge. Upon entry the QR code will be scanned and your badge will be checked. You can also bring a printed or digital version of your ticket. Your badge needs to be with you as proof of validation.
Please make sure that your ticket is scanned upon entry. Otherwise the ticket booking slot will not become available again.
Admission is free to our film screenings at the Polish Institute and at the East Hall of Leipzig’s central railway station as well as to our Extended Reality exhibition DOK Neuland.
Please be aware that seating at these locations is limited, and we cannot guarantee a seat for everyone.
Cinemas
Most of our cinema halls are accessible barrier-free. This does not apply to the cinema Schauburg and Schaubühne Lindenfels. You can find detailed info for our cinemas on our accessibility page. We also suggest you take a look at wheelmap.org, it is a website to find places with wheelchair access. Most of our locations are included there already. You can use wheelmap via your browser or as an app.
Film programme
We offer German audio descriptions for selected films. You can access these with the app “Greta”. SDH subtitles in German will be also available for selected films and displayed directly on the cinema screen. Additionally, we will hold several film discussions that will be interpreted into German Sign Language.
